An intriguing battle for promotion to the Premier Soccer League is on the Eastern Region Soccer League (ERSL) between Triangle United and FC Wangu Mazodze, with two fixtures remaining.

FC Wangu Mazodze had a 14-point lead in the ERSL on match day 19, but have struggled since then recording inconsistent results , allowing Triangle United to claw their way back into the title race which the Luke Masomere coached now leads. Both teams are tied on 66 points but  Triangle United lead courtesy of a superior goal difference.

Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Triangle United Assistant Coach Stanley Ncube emphasized the importance of the remaining two fixtures that will ultimately decide their fate. Triangle United is set to play their final home fixture, followed by an away game to conclude the season.

“The message is to keep going until the end, brother. We came a long way from 17 points, so the destiny is in our hands. We believe in our team, Stanley “Stano” Ncube stated.

Meanwhile, Coach Stanley and his team’s main objective is to maintain their consistency, winning rhythm, and secure PSL promotion.
