A 20-year-old fitness trainer from Beitbridge, Tinotenda Tshuma, popularly known as “Fitadie,” is making waves in Zimbabwe’s bodybuilding scene after securing a Top 10 finish at a recent novice competition held in Harare.

Tshuma placed 6th out of 13 participants in the Men’s Fitness Open category at the event, which took place on March 28, 2026 at the Harare College of Music.

The competition attracted emerging athletes from across the country, showcasing rising talent in the fitness industry.

Speaking after the event, Tshuma expressed pride in his performance, describing it as a stepping stone toward greater achievements.

“I’m proud of myself for making it into the Top 10. This is just the beginning. I’m going back stronger on the 28th of October to bring the champion trophy home to Beitbridge,” he said.

Tshuma, who trains at a local FitHub (Eddie’s FitHub), said his journey into bodybuilding was inspired by renowned Zimbabwean athlete Tatanga Francis Chideme. He credited his growth to discipline, consistency, and the support of his close circle.

“My biggest motivation came from Tatanga Francis Chideme. Watching his journey pushed me to believe that I can also make it,” Tshuma said.

He also acknowledged the support of his training partners, including his brothers Alled and Blessing, as well as a fellow fitness enthusiast known as Ghost, whom he described as a key influence in his development.

As he continues to build his profile, Tshuma hopes to inspire other young people in Beitbridge to pursue fitness and bodybuilding, proving that with dedication and hard work, success is within reach.

With his sights now set on future competitions, Fitadie is determined to rise through the ranks and bring pride to his hometown Beitbridge.
