The Chibuku Road to Fame Matabeleland South Provincial finals are set to light Beitbridge tomorrow as budding musicians battle it out for the limelight in the world of music.
This exciting competition which aims to find the next big music star will be held at Malaxo Beerhall in the border town.
Beitbridge District Arts and Culture Officer, Cossam Zulu, has confirmed that prizes will be awarded to the top three outstanding performers, making this an unmissable opportunity for aspiring musicians.
“We are thrilled to provide a platform for local talent to shine and showcase their skills,” stated Zulu, as he highlighted the event’s commitment to uplifting the musical talents in Mat South.
The lineup for the event features exciting performances from popular local groups like Bolamba Culture Birds, The Fugeez, Siyabangena Gangsters, Lusiza Super Sounds, Vumbachikwe Super Sounds, Khoikhoi, and many more.
As part of the logistics, Delta Beverages has made it clear that they are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all attendees.
In accordance with their terms and conditions, “anyone under the age of 18 will not be permitted to enter or participate in the competition. Additionally, organizers reserve the right to deny entry to any participant who cannot provide valid identification or appears to be underage without appropriate ID.”
With excitement growing, the Chibuku Road to Fame is set to be a day of music, dance and intense competition amongst underground musicians.
