The Municipality of Beitbridge (MOB) has called on all residents and stakeholders to take part in the monthly clean-up exercise scheduled for Friday, 3 October 2025.
In a public notice issued on 2 October, the MOB announced that this month’s clean-up will focus on the highway stretch from the Holiday Inn frontage to D.A Fuel Garage, along the main highway.
Participants are expected to gather at Zuva Garage by 07:50 AM, with the clean-up scheduled to run from 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Residents and businesses are also encouraged to clean around their workspaces and homes during the campaign.
“Together we can keep our town litter-free,” said part of the notice from the municipality.
The Beitbridge clean-up is part of the national monthly clean-up campaign, which takes place every first Friday of the month across Zimbabwe.
The campaign is aligned with the global Clean-Up Campaign implemented under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Zimbabwe adopted the initiative in 2009, when the then Vice President Joyce Mujuru officially launched the national clean-up programme at her Munhumutapa Offices in Harare.
The Municipality continues to encourage unity and active participation to keep Beitbridge clean and safe.
