BEITBRIDGE is gearing up for a high-energy lifestyle event this weekend as media personality and entrepreneur Pokello Nare brings her luxury sparkling wine brand to town.
The Pokello MCC Beitbridge Activation is billed for Saturday at The Urban Drive (kwaMB), short left just after where the Mahopolo Road meets the Joshua Mqabuko Street.
The event will be celebrated under the theme “Fierce & Edgy”, with guests encouraged to dress in Chateau Rosé and black to match the event’s stylish aesthetic.
Speaking to Ziyah News Network, event planner Fadzai Hove confirmed the activation will mark the official launch of Pokello’s signature sparkling wine, Pokello by Pokello.
The beverage is a Méthode Cap Classique (MCC), produced using the same traditional fermentation method used in Champagne.
Adding to the excitement, the event will feature a vibrant entertainment line-up.
Guests can expect performances and appearances from artists and entertainers including Oriyano and Nyasha David.
With a strong supporting cast featuring Uncle Stavon, Viggee Mc Kay, Star Danger, Mac Tee Tacs, Prince Addre, Macriss, Tino Mashanda, Mc Kay Limpopo Pogba, Joey Zw and DJ Fleeker.
The event will be hosted by local events masters ( MCs) Edutainer and MC Pashy.
Coming to her hometown
Hove said the activation is more than just a social gathering.
“The event is open to business people and anyone aspiring to grow their networks. We want people to connect, collaborate, and be inspired,” she said.
She said bringing such an event to Beitbridge was intentional.
“These kinds of premium lifestyle events are rare here, and we want Beitbridge to be counted among the cities now retailing Pokello MCC,” Hove noted.
The activation also carries a strong empowerment message, particularly aimed at young women.
“It’s about inspiring people to dream big and take up space in business and lifestyle spaces,” she said.
Hove called on the public to attend and experience what promises to be one of the most exciting events on Beitbridge’s social calendar.
Pokello by Pokello is a premium Zimbabwean sparkling wine brand—specifically Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) Pokello launched in 2025 and is bringing to her home town.
It is available in rosé and brut options, characterised by high-quality, fermented, and bottled sparkling wine, often featuring unique, convenient packaging.
The wine uses a traditional fermentation method (méthode cap classique) with a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinotage, developed to be light and creamy.
It offers varieties of a sweet Rosé for occasions like brunch and a lighter, crisp Brut.
It was officially launched around August/December 2025, with, according to reports, high-profile events, including a launch in Mbare.
Pokello brings it home to Beitbridge where the product will be one foot into the vast South African market, and the world at large!
