The Confederation of African Football is set to unveil the new trophy of the CAF Champions league today in Johannesburg, ahead of the Mamelodi Sundowns – Pyramids FC 2024/25 final.
CAF confirmed that the unveiling of the new trophy will kick start at 12h00 local time.
“The Confederation of African Football (“CAF”), in partnership with TotalEnergies, will be unveiling the new TotalEnergies CAF Champions League trophy ahead of the 2024/25 final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Pyramids FC.The event will be held at the offices of TotalEnergies in Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday, 22 May, 2025, from 12h00 local time / 10h00 GMT.” CAF stated.
The Federation also announced that the finalist of the 2024 – 2025 CAF Champions league, Mamelodi Sundowns and Pyramids FC team captains and coaches will be amongst the attendees.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns and Pyramids FC are set to battle in the first leg of the CAF Champions league final on Saturday, May 24, 2025 before heading to Cairo on June 1 for the return leg.
