THE ZIFA Central Region Soccer League (CRSL) Division One has tabled fines for various misconducts by teams, coaches, and players might commit during the 2026 season.
The fines have been viewed as an effort to level the playground in the region rocked by scandals that saw the withdrawal of Sheasham lat year but returned after the intervention of rhe motger body in Harare.
This year Sheasham did not register at all and has only kept its youth academy, viewed by many as a protest.
In a statement on Monday the CRSL said any team fielding an ineligible player in a league match would result in points deduction and a fine.
“Playing an ineligible player in the CSL league match, three points will be deducted from the offending team’s total points and a fine of $300.00,” the Cntral Region Soccer League Division One statement reads.
The CRSL 2026 on the fines table said also said highlight that goalkeepers should wear different colours from all other players, and failure to do so will result in a $50.00 fine.
One of the most stringent tariffs is that teams are not allowed to play a match without the knowledge of the Central Region Soccer League Division One, which automatically means teams should notify the league whenever playing friendly matches, and failure to do so will result in a $500.00 fine.
The (CRSL) appears serious about discipline and professionalism this 2026 season, with the league’s fines document outlining fines for various infractions, ranging from $30 to $1000.
The following are the 39 penalties that have been passed by the league and teams are expected to comply.
- Ground Grading and Inspection – $250.00
- Disciplinary fees – $800.00
- Named post-match disciplinary fees- not specified
- Playing an ineligible player-deduction of 3 points + fine of $300.00
- Failure to wear registered colors at home – $200.00
- Failure to number all shirts – $50.00
- Failure to change a relevant item in the event of clash – $100.00
- Goalkeeper not wearing a kit different to all other player’s– $50.00
- Captain not wearing armband – $30.00
- Not providing adequate security personnel (minimum six)– $150.00
- Failure to fulfill a CSL fixture – $1,000.00 + 3 points awarded to the other team
- Failure to carry out pre-match inspection procedure– $200.00
- Failure to have fax, mobile phone, or e‑mail operational at all times– $30.00
- Failure to start the match with eleven players- $75.00
- Altering team sheet after exchange (except for a player injured in warm‑up – $50.00
- Arriving at the match venue 15 minutes late or delaying
- Playing in game without permission– $500.00
- Failure to provide technical benches – $50.00
- Failure to pay Match Officials on day of match– fixture for the next home game cancelled + points awarded to opponent team.
- Failure to play with Match balls required by the League – $50.00
- Failure to return trophy by due date – $150.00
- Failure to return trophy engraved – $150.00
- Failure to return trophy in good condition– $250.00
- Failure to have medical personnel stated – $100.00
- Scaling fence and/or using an undesignated entry to stadium– $1,000.00
- Bribery or match fixing – refer case to Disciplinary committee.
- Issuing reckless statements to the media by players and officials which brings the league and/or its sponsors into disrepute– a fine of $1000.00 is imposed.
- Delaying kick off due to clash of colors – a fine of $500.00 imposed on the away team.
- Failure to produce licenses of the player(s) – refer to Disciplinary committee.
- Pitch invasion – $500.00
- Refusing media interviews by coaches and team captain– $150.00
- Failure to avail a team list to media 15 minutes before the match– $150.00
- Failure to provide an ambulance – $300.00
- Failure to attend meeting– $300.00
- Refusing away team entrance at 12:00 – $1,000.00
