PREPARATIONS for Dulibadzimu Stadium for the 2026 season is currently underway and the municipality team has already started cutting the grass.
ZIFA pitch inspections are around the corner.
Beitbridge Town Clerk, Loud Ramakgapola, confirmed the development saying they are almost done cutting the grass.
“Preparations at the stadium are underway, and we are almost done cutting the grass,” Ramakgapola said.
Ramakgapola said his team has requested funds from him to further the stadium rehabilitation as a long term project.
The municipality will install a fence, fix the toilets, and stadium perimeter wall in the long term plans.
“The team has already done quotations. If everything goes well, as soon as they receive funds, they will fix the toilets, water system, terrace, and the stadium perimeter wall for the long term,” Ramakgapola said.
Dulibadzimu Stadium remains the first pitch to have ever hosted an official Premier Soccer League match in Beitbridge.
In the past 10 years, Beitbridge has had three teams playing in the Premier Soccer League, namely Underhill, Triple B, and Border Strikers.
Dulibadzimu Stadium is the home venue for Dulibadzimu United and the second home for the newly promoted Vhembe Stars Academy.
