FC Platinum laboured to a narrow 1-0 win over Green Fuel in a tough Premier Soccer league game over the weekend, reducing the points gap between them, Mwos FC and Simba Bhora.
The Platinum miners came into the match knowing a win would be vital in their campaign to reclaim the top tier.
Meanwhile, Simba Bhora were held to a 1-1 by Manica Diamonds, dropping 2 crucial points which went in favour of Mwos FC who were also held to a 1-1 draw by Herentals FC.
Despite the draw, Simba Bhora remain on top of the table with 44 points, 2 points ahead of Mwos FC, 4 points ahead of FC Platinum and Scotland FC.
Scotland FC is vying for maximum points against Yadah FC today, and if they manages to secure all the three points, they will reduce the 4 points gap between themselves and Simba Bhora to 1 point.
While the race for the PSL title is heating up among the top four, the battle is also intense at the bottom of the league, with Triangle FC securing maximum points against Bikita on a 3 nil scoreline. .
A 3-0 victory against Bikita Minerals saw Triangle escaping the relegation zone moving to 13th position with 24 points, level with Green Fuel and Yadah FC but Triangle has a superior goal difference.
Dynamos remain in trouble after suffering a 3-0 defeat in the hands of Chicken Inn over the weekend.
