The tumultuous relationship between Zimdancehall artist Hwinza and his ex-girlfriend, socialite Malloti, has escalated into violence, sending shockwaves across social media and the entertainment scene.
Reports indicate that Malloti allegedly forced her way into the home of Hwinza’s current girlfriend, armed with a knife, resulting in a brutal assault.
Videos and images circulating online depict Hwinza’s unnamed girlfriend with visible injuries, including bleeding from the head. One distressing clip shows her being wheeled into a medical facility in a wheelchair, where she sought treatment for the injuries she reportedly sustained during the attack.
The motive behind Malloti’s alleged assault remain unclear, especially since she is rumoured to have moved on with another partner.
Speculation surrounding the nature of their split has been rampant, particularly given the chaotic history of Hwinza and Malloti’s relationship, which has frequently been marred by violence.
Earlier this year, Malloti publicly took control of Hwinza’s social media accounts, lamenting how the “Lula Lula” hitmaker had allegedly destroyed her car in a previous altercation.
In response to the serious allegations, Malloti has denied breaking into Hwinza’s current girlfriend’s home or attacking her. Speaking to local media outlet Zimcelebs, she claimed she was in Kwekwe at the time of the incident, insisting that she was not involved.
Some users have gone as far as to suggest that the violent incident may have been staged for publicity, saying, “This drama seems all too familiar; maybe they’re just trying to create buzz.”
The recurring theme of chaos in their relationships has not only captured public interest but also highlights deeper issues surrounding domestic violence and the impacts of fame on personal lives.
As the details of this incident unfold, it remains to be seen what actions, if any, will be taken against Malloti, and whether this latest chapter will finally bring resolution to a saga that has gripped many in Zimbabwe.
