Harare — Popular Zimbabwean musician, Jah Prayzah has announced the cancellation of his upcoming performances in Washington, D.C., and Dallas, originally scheduled for July 4 and 5.

The cancellation comes as a result of delays in U.S. visa processing, leaving many fans disappointed, especially those who had already bought tickets, booked hotels, and made travel arrangements.

In a heartfelt message posted on social media, Jah Prayzah explained that a technical issue during the visa application process forced the cancellation.

“We attended our visa appointments earlier this month, but due to a technical issue on our application forms, we couldn’t proceed,” he shared.

“That meant restarting the process and trying to get new appointment dates, and unfortunately, none were available in time for the scheduled shows”

The artist also addressed social media speculation suggesting that visas had been rejected, clarifying that the U.S. Consulate was supportive and tried to assist in every way possible.

“Some things are simply beyond anyone’s control,” he emphasized.

Jah Prayzah extended gratitude to the U.S. tour organizers, DJ Nhunzi and Xcelerate, for their efforts to salvage the shows. He assured fans that all tickets purchased in advance will be fully refunded and promised that new U.S. tour dates will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, fans in Canada remain unaffected, with concerts in Edmonton on July 11 and Toronto on July 12 scheduled to proceed as planned.

“Everything is in place and we can’t wait to see you there,” the musician said.

The postponement marks a setback for Jah Prayzah’s U.S. tour, but fans remain hopeful for rescheduled dates in the near future.
