The 2024 Premier Soccer league champions, Simba Bhora has parted ways with Coach Joel Luphahla beginning a new journey with FC Platinum in Zvishavane.
Simba Bhora confirmed Lupahla’s departure in a statement on Tuesday, citing that both the club and his mutual consent.
“Simba Bhora Football Club and the Head Coach Joel Luphahla have reached a consensus and agreed to mutually part ways effective 31 December 2025,” Simba Bhora FC stated.
Luphahla took over Simba when the club had lost previous coach Tonderai Ndiraya and several key players including Walter Musona.
The players who left were crucial in securing the historic 2024 championship for the Shamva side.
Coach Luphahla finished third position in the PSL and was also knocked out of the CAF Champions league in the preliminary round.
Meanwhile, FC Platinum announced the signing of Joel Luphahla as a replacement for coach Norman Mapeza.
Luphahla started his coaching career with TelOne in 2018, where he won the Central Region Soccer League Division One.
He later joined Golden Eagles, Highlanders, and Simba Bhora, and now lands at FC Platinum, a club with a huge history of winning back to back championships.
