Harare-The Masvingo-Glen Norah Loop will be temporarily closed from Thursday, 29 May, to Friday, 30 May, as the government prepares for the official opening of the Trabablas Interchange on Friday May 30.

In a public notice shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, 28 May, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development confirmed the closure to facilitate final works and ensure safety during the event.
“The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, through its Department of Roads, is completing final preparations for the official opening and commissioning of the Trabablas Interchange on Friday, 30 May 2025, by His Excellency, the President, Cde. Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa;
To ensure the safety of all road users and facilitate the smooth opening of this major transformative project, the Masvingo-Glen Norah Loop will be temporarily closed from 29 May 2025 to 30 May 2025,” read part of the notice.
In preparation for the event, Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Felix Mhona, conducted an inspection of the project site on Wednesday, 28 May. He was accompanied by Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Barbara Rwodzi, and Permanent Secretary, Engineer Pedzisayi Makumbe.
