PRESIDENT Emmerson Mnangagwa has swapped his ministers roles in a mini cabinet reshuffle reassigning former Minister of Information Publicity and Broadcasting Jenfan Muswere to the Ministry of Skills Audit and Development.

In a press release titled Re-Assignment of Ministers, Mnangagwa made Professor Paul Mavima the new Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities.

He re-assigned Zhemu Soda to take over from Jenfan Muswere.

The reposting was announced by the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Martin Rushwaya on February 11 2026.

“In terms of Section 104, Subsection (1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, His Excellency the President, Cde. Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has re-assigned the under-listed Ministers as follows: Hon. Dr. Jenfan Muswere: Minister of Skills Audit and Development, Hon. Prof. Paul Mavima:
Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities and Hon. Dr. Zhemu Soda: Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services.”

Rushwaya said the re-assignments are with immediate effect.

Mavima previously held Muswere’s new station.
