The Municipality of Beitbridge has introduced a new uniform for its senior security officers as part of efforts to strengthen professionalism and modernise municipal operations.

In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the municipality said the refreshed attire represents a new look for our senior security officers, noting the move enhances visual identity while reinforcing a culture of professionalism within the security department.

“The Municipality of Beitbridge is proud to unveil a refreshed uniform for its senior security officers, a move that strengthens our visual identity and underscores a culture of professionalism. The modern design not only highlights the officers’ dedication to keeping our community safe, but also enhances their visibility and presence throughout Beitbridge town,” read the post.

The municipality added that the new uniform reflects its commitment to transparency, accountability and service excellence, while signalling ongoing efforts to modernise municipal operations for the benefit of residents.

Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Beitbridge Municipality public relations officer Raniel Ndou clarified that the development specifically applies to senior personnel.

“This is the introduction of a new uniform for senior security personnel who previously were not putting on uniforms,” Ndou said.

“The lower ranks will continue using the same uniform as before.”

The initiative is expected to improve identification of senior security officers and further promote discipline and professionalism within the municipality’s security services.
