THE vibrant town of Beitbridge lights up Saturday September 27 when it hosts Miss Rural and Mr Rural Zimbabwe 2025 Matabeleland South finals at PaGomba Cafe.
The pageant celebrates culture, tradition and rural upbringing, undiluted.
And what more?
It has been dedicated to a Beitbridge luminary.
This year’s edition celebrates the life and legacy of Vice President Kembo Dugish Campbell Muleya Mohadi, a liberator with strong rural background.
The pageant will be a celebration to honor Mohadi’s contributions to the region and his enduring influence on Zimbabwean society.

Organised by Mental Voices Trust t/a Miss Rural and Mr Rural Zimbabwe fittingly sets sail at a place loaded with entertainment memories lasting a lifetime, PaGomba, where, Zimbabwe’s who and who in music set foot.
Even Makhadzi, an African sensation rocked here where the pageant rises at 6:00 pm.
The event promises a dazzling display of designs, culture, fashion, modeling, and entertainment, spotlighting the rich heritage of Zimbabwe’s rural communities.
Mrs Sipho Mazibuko, the founder and trademark owner of Mental Voices Trust said: ” 18 models from all Districts of Matabeleland South, not growth points pure rural, will compete for the coveted titles of Miss and Mr Rural Zimbabwe, embodying the spirit, resilience, and beauty of rural life.”
“Traditional attire, local music, and storytelling will take center stage, offering attendees a deeply immersive experience. The inclusion of cultural icons and emerging talent underscores the event’s mission to uplift rural voices and celebrate Zimbabwe’s diverse identity,” she said.
Mohadi, originally from Beitbridge, is a key figure in Zimbabwe’s political and cultural landscape.
“His recognition at this event marks a moment of pride for the region, with organisers knowing the Matabeleland South Giant in him.”
The tribute will include speeches, performances, and symbolic gestures that reflects his journey and impact.
With excitement building and preparations underway, Miss Rural & Mr Rural Zimbabwe 2025 is poised to be a landmark event that bridges tradition and modernity, while paying homage to a figure who has shaped the region’s narrative.
