Popular Nollywood director, editor and a filmmaker Dimeji Ajibola has died. Ajibola passed on yesterday after battling with an undisclosed illness.

He studied filmmaking and cinematography at the New York Film Academy in Universal Studios, advanced character animation at Animation Mentor in San Francisco.

Ajibola directed many visuals before his death such as Shanty Town, Slum King, Hoodrush, Ovy’s Voice and Wura.

Ajibola won several awards including Best Actor and Soundtrack at the Nollywood Movies Awards, and Best Supporting Actor at the AMAA Awards, Best Movie at the 2012 Green Me Film Festival in Germany.

This year, Nollywood has lost many actors in the year of 2024 including Charles Oluomo (Agbako), Adejumoke Aderounmu, Quadri Oyebamiji, John Okafor, Junior Pope Odonwodo.
