Pakistan responded to their loss over the weekend in their first of their three ODIs against Zimbabwe with a dominant performance against the host winning by comprehensive 10 wickets and level the series 1-1.

Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to put runs on the board, but struggled losing both openers with less than 5 overs. Joylord Gumbie and Tadiwanashe Marumani who put a good opening score in the first match could not replicate their form.

Dion Meyers was the Zimbabwean top scorer with 33 runs whilst Sean Williams chipped in with 31 runs. No other Zimbabwean batsman managed to reach 20 runs as the host were bowled out for a paltry 145.

In its chase, Pakistan were in a class of their own reaching the target in just over 20 overs with no scalps lost on their part with Saib Ayum scoring a century.

The 10 wicket victory means tomorrow’s 3rd ODI becomes the deciding match on who will clinch the series.
