Provincial Magistrate Mbonisi Kaweni has corrected a patent error on a civil court order, reducing the amount from $15 000 to $1 500.
The order was issued on 21 October 2026.
Milda Chiromo approached the court under case number CG97/26 seeking correction of a patent error.
She brought a claim of $1 500 against Trevor Kwari.
She told the court that judgment was granted in her favour, but the order was erroneously recorded as $15 000 instead of $1 500.
Magistrate Kaweni ruled that the patent error be corrected, and that the order should read $1 500 as originally claimed and granted.
