A man has been barred from insulting, assaulting or setting foot at his neighbour’s homestead for 12 months for branding him a snitch.
Trust Mbedzi sought a peace order against Clopas Ndou before Provincial Magistrate Mbonisi Kaweni.
The court heard that Ndou insulted Mbedzi in public, labelling him a snitch and a bad person, threatened him and poured beer on him.
Mbedzi asked the court to prohibit Ndou from assaulting him, calling him a snitch and visiting his home.
Ndou did not contest the application, saying he had no problem staying away from Mbedzi and desisting from insulting or assaulting him.
Magistrate Kaweni granted the order, barring Ndou from insulting, assaulting or visiting Mbedzi’s homestead for 12 months.
