THE Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has invited applications from highly motivated and academically outstanding graduates to join its two year Graduate Trainee Programme running from 2026 to 2028.

In a statement on Wednesday the central bank said the programme is designed to groom future central banking professionals through structured training mentorship and practical exposure across key departments of the bank.

The RBZ said applicants must hold a First Class (1) degree in a wide range of disciplines critical to central banking operations. These include economics, finance, accounting, banking, statistics, mathematics, financial intelligence, risk management, law, international relations, information technology, computer science, software engineering, data analytics, supply chain management and other related business degrees.

The programme is also open to graduates in human resources management, psychology, communication, journalism and media studies, graphic design, library and information science as well as holders of diploma and journeyman class one qualifications in engineering fields such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and refrigeration.

RBZ said ideal candidates should be recently graduated possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and exhibit a high level of integrity and professionalism. Proficiency in computer applications is also a key requirement.

“Interested candidates are required to submit an application letter, a detailed curriculum vitae, and certified copies of academic transcripts and certificates. Applications should be clearly marked Graduate Trainee and addressed to the Director Human Resources at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe,” said RBZ.

The RBZ said applications must be submitted no later than 6 January 2026 and should be sent via email to GTcareers@rbz.co.zw.
