THE Industrial Training and Trade Testing Department under the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development has opened registration for the March 2026 .

The theory trade tests will be conducted over two days from February 26 to 27.

The registration will run from 8am to 4pm at the Ministry of Youth Offices located at the Old ZRP Building near Lotshe FM.

The exercise is part of ongoing national efforts to certify skilled workers and formalise vocational qualifications across Zimbabwe.

Human capital and skills development officer, Lawrence Gonye said the programme is conducted three times a year in march , July and November to help skilled workers gain official recognition for their competitors.

“The main objective of industrial testing is to ensure that people get certificates that maTV their skills so that they are paid salaries appropriate to their qualifications,” He said .

Candidates are required to present certified copies of their birth certificates and national identity documents along with three colour photographs measuring 17mm by 25mm.

Applicants must also provide a reference letter on an official letterhead or a National Certificate statement of results.

The department said payments can be made through EcoCash, swipe, cash or bank transfer.

Theory test fees range from US$18 for Class 4 to US$43 for Class 1, while practical test fees go up to US$95 depending on the class level. Additional charges include US$138 for a national certificate exemption and US$10 for issuing a statement of results.

The Ministry said the fees are pegged in United States dollars but may also be paid in Zimbabwe Gold currency at the prevailing bank rate on the day of payment.

Gonye said candidates should adhere strictly to the registration dates, warning that late submissions may not be accepted due to scheduling requirements for the March examination session.
