TWO senior Zanu PF officials have donated blankets, food and day old chicks to vulnerable members of the Beitbridge West community.
Senator Tambudzani Mohadi and former Beitbridge West Member of Parliament Metrine Mudau, made the donations to disabled and elderly people in Chamnangana and Madzivhe.
This was done under the Community Empowerment Program and these donations were made on January 28, 2026.
Though in Beitbridge district Madzivhe and Chamnangana fall under the Gwanda Tshiṱaudze constituency, following their initial change from Beitbridge West to the Gwanda Tshiṱaudze constituency.
This constituency was formed in 2023 under two Rural District Councils of Beitbridge and Gwanda.
Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Sen Mohadi said the Community Empowerment Program aims to help elderly people, disabled people, and young children.
“We came to these areas to support our elderly people and disabled people with blankets, food, and chickens. We are trying to support them to make a living and remind them that we have not forgotten them,” Mohadi said.

The Councillor for Ward 12, Siakhalala Tshivhasa, also highlighted that he is quite impressed by the service of Senator Mohadi and other leaders for coming and supporting elderly people and disabled people.
“The Senator Mohadi is doing a good job empowering and helping our people because in our ward we have many elderly people and disabled people,” Tshivhasa said.
Madzivhe Primary School Headmaster Never Sibanda said Sen Mohadi and Hon Mudau donated more than 30 chickens to the school and pads for the schoolgirls.
“I would like to thank Mrs Mohadi and Mudau for their work. She has donated more than 30 chickens to the school and pads for the girls. No matter how small a gift is the thing is to us, it is a great thing; it gives us somewhere to start,” Sibanda said.
Prior to her visit to the Gwanda Tshiṱaudze constituency, Senator Mohadi had already done a similar pŕogram in Beitbridge West and East.
