A newly elite opened school in Beitbridge has advertised teaching vacancies for an ICT Teacher and a Chinese (Mandarin) Language Teacher as it strengthens its academic team following the start of operations this year.

The school, Southern Cross College, is a Cambridge International School owned by the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) and is positioning itself as a centre of academic excellence in the border town.

The ICT teaching post requires a qualified teacher to deliver the Cambridge Curriculum, with the ability to teach commercial subjects such as Accounting or Business Studies considered an added advantage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering learner-centred lessons, assessing pupil performance and promoting digital literacy.

The Mandarin/ Chinese teaching vacancy targets a qualified and passionate language teacher to teach secondary school learners within a Cambridge-aligned environment.

Applicants with recognised qualifications in Mandarin, strong communication skills and prior teaching experience will have an advantage.

Southern Cross College said the recruitment drive is part of efforts to build a strong founding faculty and enhance subject diversity at the institution.

Successful candidates will be offered a professional working environment, with accommodation and meals provided. Applications close on February 2, 2026.

Southern Cross College began operating earlier this year and is among the growing number of private schools offering international curricula in Beitbridge.
