Masvingo– It is not everyday that you hear of a musician rocking it in the sleepy town of Masvingo, that is often known as a gateway to all four corners of Zimbabwe than it’s musical prowess. But one young energetic artist , Heartson, real name Saviors Obey Mutubuki, is on a path to bring music vibrancy to the town, departing from the norm that musicians have to join the great trek to the capital to make it in the industry.

Buoyed by his recent semi final spot in the Masvingo Cup clash, the 22 year old is on the verge of releasing a reggae collabo song with another Masvingo bred artist Ras Caleb.

Recorded at Gully view studios and supported by the Ranks family, the single is set to drop soon serving as an inspiration to other upcoming artists especially from towns considered small in musical terms.

Titled ‘enemies’, the song is a summation of everyday struggles in life and those who are masters at the ‘pull him down syndrome.’

“The song reflects the everyday challenges of life, particularly the presence of those who seek to undermine others,” explained Heartson highlighting that the message does resonate deeply with the masses in a town where dreams often feel distant.

Heartson, who is no doubt one of the hottest and latest natural talent to emerge out of Mas Vegas as Masvingo is popularly known in the artistic world, acknowledged the support he has received from various people who encouraged and supported his musical career that is on the rise.

“I would like to express my gratitude to VC Killa for his encouragement and my long-time producer, Leadmas, who has become like family,” he added.

This upcoming collaboration promises to be more than just a song; it’s a powerful reminder that talent knows no boundaries and that even in the quietest places, dreams can flourish and inspire. It is also an undoubted quest to bring a town laden with raw talent on the musical map showcasing it as a hub of untapped musical talent and unparalleled creativity.
