The young people of Zimbabwe are a vital cog in the mix as the country journeys on the road to the realisation of Vision 2030 and beyond, Guest of Honour at the Sundrive Leadership Summit and Vice President of Zimbabwe Rtd Colonel Kembo Mohadi has said.
Vice President Mohadi spoke as he addressed young and older business people of Beitbridge who had gathered for the Sundrive Leadership Summit.
“The youth, in particular, have a critical role to play in this journey (towards Vision 2030), you are the future leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs of Zimbabwe. Your energy, creativity, and passion are invaluable assets to our nation. I urge you to seize the opportunities presented by this summit, learn to network, and contribute to the development of Zimbabwe. Your participation and leadership are essential for the realisation of Vision 2030,” said the VP.
As the delegates drawn from private and public sectors listened, the VP implored them to make use of the momentum generated by the summit effectively especially the need for collaboration.
“As we move forward, it is imperative that we maintain the momentum generated by this summit. The ideas and strategies which will be discussed here must be translated into concrete actions. We must continue to foster an environment that encourages innovation, supports collaboration, and promotes inclusivity. This requires commitment from all stakeholders, including the Government, private sector, Civil Society, and the International Community,” he added.
Before congregating at the venue of the summit, the Vice President was taken on a tour of some local business in Maphosa Bricks and Zero Bars to have an appreciation of their operations and how they are contributing the economic body of Beitbridge.

“Today, I had the privilege of touring a few businesses in Beitbridge. It was inspiring to see first-hand the dedication and hard work that the people of Beitbridge are putting Into developing their community. The Beitbridge Border Post is not only a gateway to our nation but also a critical hub for trade and economic activity. The progress 1 witnessed today is a testament to the commitment of our people to the development of Zimbabwe.”
Turning to the shining beacon of the Second Republic’s infrastructure development thrust, the Beitbridge Border Post, the VP said it’s a testament to the effectiveness of collaboration as witnessed in the success of the Public Private Partnership venture that spruced the face of the border post.
“The Beitbridge Border Post is a shining example of what can be achieved through collaboration and innovation. The improvements in infrastructure and services are a result of combined efforts by the Government, private sector, and local communities. These efforts have not only enhanced the efficiency of trade but have also created jobs and improved living standards for the people in the region. It is a microcosm of what we aim to achieve on a national scale.”
