ZANU PF has terminated the employment of its Director General, Brigadier General (Rtd) Ezekiel Zabanyana, with immediate effect following a directive from the party’s President and First Secretary.

In a letter dated October 9 2025, the party’s Secretary General, Jacob Mudenda said the decision to relieve Zabanyana of his duties came directly from the highest office in the party.

“I hereby inform you that His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of the Party, has directed that your position as the ZANU PF Director General be terminated immediately,” He said.

While no reasons were given for the sudden dismissal, the party expressed gratitude to Zabanyana for his services and extended well wishes for his future endeavours.

“Meanwhile, the Party tenders its gratitude for all your rendered services and wishes you well in your future endeavours in life,” Mudenha said.

The party has instructed its Treasurer General to process Zabanyana’s terminal benefits.

Zabanyana has been advised to liaise with the Treasurer General’s office for any further queries.
