The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has announced the formation of an Ad Hoc Committee to investigate the recent withdrawal of Sheasham FC from the Zimbabwe Central Region Soccer League (ZCRSL).

“This decision was made by the ZIFA Executive Committee at its meeting held on 9 October 2025,” said the association in an official statement. “It follows recommendations from the ZIFA Legal and Player Status Committee.”

“The Ad Hoc Committee shall include a Chairperson who is a qualified legal practitioner, a Deputy Chairperson who is a sports administrator, and one member who is a former referee.” Statement said

ZIFA said the Committee’s mandate is clear.

“It will investigate the circumstances surrounding Sheasham FC’s withdrawal, determine whether the club exhausted all internal remedies available under the ZIFA Statutes, assess how the ZCRSL responded to the club’s complaints, and submit a written report with recommendations within seven working days.”

“The ZIFA Secretariat has been directed to assist with the appointment of committee members and provide the necessary support to ensure the smooth running of the investigation,” the statement said.
