ZIMBABWE has named its men’s senior soccer squad for the Botswana four-nation tournament featuring hosts, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The 2026 Botswana Four Nations Tournament, featuring Botswana (Zebras), Zambia (Chipolopolo), Zimbabwe (Warriors), and Malawi (Flames), will take place from March 23–31, 2026, in Francistown, 140 kilometres south west of Bulwayo.

Matches are scheduled at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium.

Zimbabwe is coached by Romanian tactician Marian “Mario” Marinica appointed in November 2025 on a one-year contract.

He brings over 25 years of experience, previously managing Malawi and Liberia.

His previous line ups at Zimbabwe’s last international matches attracted a lot of criticism when he gave little time to in-form Tawanda Masvanhise currently on a free-scoring spree for his team abroad Motherwell.

Some are also worried about his inclusion of captain Marvellous Nakamba people believe was a disgrace in the last South Africa encounter.

“He has failed and past his sell by time,” said a Beitbridge follower of the Warriors.
