Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs suffered a devastating 4-1 defeat at the hands of Pretoria outfit SuperSport United in their recent league encounter at FNB stadium.
Amakhosi failed to withstand the pressure from SuperSport United ‘s strike force led by their former player Sam Nukovic and Christian Saile.
The Matsatsantsa duo Nukovic and Saile led their team from the front ensuring a convincing victory. Nukovic opened scoring in just the 3th minute of the game, before Lilepo equalised for Amakhosi and Saile restored the lead, setting a dominant performance against his former side.
On the 63th minute, Ghampani Lungu scored the third goal of the match and Siphesihle Ndlovu effortlessly added the fourth goal of the match on the 83th minute.
After the huge loss, Amakhosi remained on position 6 with 25 points while SuperSport Unite remain on position 12 with 20 points.
Despite winning 13 league titles, Kaizer Chiefs have failed to secure any major domestic trophy in 10 years. The last time Kaizer Chiefs won a domestic cup was in 2014/2015 season.
