The Beitbridge Civil Court has ordered Allen Kuranda to pay monthly child maintenance to his estranged wife, Samukhelo Sibanda, for the upkeep of their three-year-old child.

Sibanda approached the court on December 29, 2025, saying Kuranda had not been consistent in supporting the child and had not contributed anything this month.

She asked the court to intervene so that the child could receive regular support.

She initially applied for US$100 per month but later agreed to US$50 after the matter was discussed in court.

“I want him to start paying this month,” Sibanda told the court.

Kuranda did not oppose the application and confirmed that he was in agreement with the proposed amount.

“Yes, we agreed to US$50 a month. I have nothing to add,” he said.

Magistrate Mbonisi Kaweni ruled by consent and ordered Kuranda to pay US$50 in child maintenance every month, with the first payment due on December 31, 2025.
