Matebeleland South and Beitbridge ‘s Tinotenda Kayereka secured a gold medal in the U20 long Jump event with a jump of 7,16m at the inter-provincial competition in Bindura.
The high school athlete from Zezani, leaped and soured high exceptionally setting a personal best jump at the interprovincial competition, proudly raising the Matebeleland South flag high.
Fellow Matabeleland South and Beitbridge mates , Derrick Matutu and Brilliant Mawadze also secured a gold medal at the U20, 4×400meters relay alongside Anele Ncube from Wenezi and Ncube Shelton of Plumtree.
Day 1 yielded four gold , six silvers and four bronze medals for Matebeleland South province
Mat South will be hoping to secure more gold medals on the final day.
