After nearly eight years of litigation, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally reached a settlement in their highly publicized divorce.

The couple’s split, which began in 2016, has been marked by allegations of abuse, custody battles, and financial disputes.

According to sources close to Jolie, the actress and her team have been working towards a resolution for years, with Jolie seeking to find peace and healing for their family.

While Pitt’s representatives declined to comment on the matter, the settlement marks a significant step towards closure for both parties.

The couple’s divorce proceedings were marred by controversy from the start, including allegations of abuse during a private plane flight in 2016.

Although no charges were filed, the incident became a pivotal moment in their separation.

The couple’s children, who are now adults, were also embroiled in the custody disputes, with the majority of them now grown.

One of the most contentious issues in the divorce was the ownership and management of Château Miraval, the couple’s $164 million French estate and winery.

Pitt sued Jolie in 2022 over her decision to sell her stake in the winery, claiming it was in violation of an unspoken agreement.

In a major victory for Jolie, a judge ordered Pitt to disclose documents that her legal team claims will support her allegations of abuse and cover-ups.

However, Pitt’s camp scored its own win when Jolie’s motions to dismiss his lawsuit were rejected, setting the stage for a potential trial over their financial agreements.

With the settlement now in place, both Jolie and Pitt appear to have moved on with their lives, officially concluding their two-year marriage and eight years of divorce proceedings.
