The Carling Allstars have been crowned the Carling Cup champions after defeating Magesi FC by 3-0 at Orlando Stadium.
The Carling Allstars is a team voted by fans to play against the Carling Black Label champions in the Carling cup.
Allstars took an early led when Kaizer Chiefs ‘Naledi Hlongwane scored a brace in the 11th and 23rd minute before Samukelo Zwane scored the third goal to seal the match. Allstars’ victory marked a successful retention of the Carling Cup trophy under the guidance of Jose Riveiro.
Orlando pirates coach Jose Riveiro received a resounding vote of confidence to lead the Carling Allstars and he successful led the team to the Carling Cup crown.
Elsewhere, Coach Clinton Larsen resigned after Magesi ‘s humiliating loss against All-stars.Coach Larsen led Magesi to their maiden Carling Black Label trophy, shocking giants Sundowns.
