A delegation of Chinese gold explorers from Haiwavo in South Northern China will arrive at he disused Mangavha Copper Mine accompanied by officials from the School of Mines to investigate and revive the mine.
Most houses near Mangavha Mall stand over the mine and negotiations to move them will start at the Kingdom Light Ministries Church in Mbedzi Area at 10:30.
Beitbridge Rural District Council executive Loud Ramakgokoma said owners of the houses over the mine will be relocated elsewhere and get compensation of around $80 000 down to $60 000 depending on the number of bedrooms.
The Mangavha Copper Mine stretches underground up to River Ranch and talks have been on with Xintal to join the venture and create about 10 000 jobs.
“We are here and we expect to start movement and establishments soon,” Chinese delegation head Hugai Chiu told Ziyah News Net One through their interpreter Mazwipha Ndou.
“We are also going to develop the aerodrome for direct flights to China,” he said.
