A spurned man has been chasing his ex-lover and hurling insults and threatening to burn her house.
Sheila Muleya has since been granted a protection order against Qubani Ncube, her ex-lover.
The matter was before Provincial Magistrate Mbonisi Kaweni.
Muleya told the court that Ncube is her ex boyfriend. She said whenever he meets her on the road, he chases her and assaults her verbally.
Muleya said Ncube also threatens to burn her homestead.
She said he used to destroy her property.
She asked the court to bar him from visiting her homestead.
The court heard that the respondent was in default.
The record shows he signed and promised to come to court when he gets money.
Kaweni barred him from chasing, threatening and visiting the applicant’s homestead.
The order will run for five years.
