Four People lost their lives in a devastating road accident that  occurred at the 25km peg along Karoi-Binga Road on June 15, 2025.

The collision involved a Ford Ranger vehicle carrying seven passengers and a Honda Fit vehicle with 12 passengers.

The victims who tragically lost their lives have been identified as Eunice Matonde (13), Debra Matonde (8), Letwin Matonde (3), Juliet Matonde (32)

All four victims were from Dixie Farm, Magunje.

The bodies of the victims were taken to Karoi District Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination and the injured were referred to the same hospital for treatment.

The Fifteen who  were seriously injured in the accident are receiving treatment at the same hospital.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has urged  motorists to exercise caution on the roads and avoid overloading vehicles  to safeguard human lives. The accident is the latest of many that are claiming lives on a regular basis. The lack of reliable public service transportation is exposing the traveling public to overloading  small vehicle operators popularly known as mushikashika.
