South African Police have arrested four foreign national male suspects aged 25-42 in Bronville, near Welkom in Free State province for possession of suspected stolen property.


The suspects were found with stolen goods including a welding machine, microwave oven, and various tools. The case is being investigated in connection with a residential burglary in Odendaalsrus.


The South African Police Service (SAPS), reported that “property were stolen by thieves include welding machine, weed eater, wood cutter, microwave oven, amplifier, sound speakers and many other tools were found on the premises.”


A case of possession of suspected stolen property was opened at Bronville.The case will be investigated concurrently with the Burglary (RES) case, which was previously opened at Odendaalsrus Police Station.

Meanwhile, South African authorities have also arrested three illegal underground miners, aged 24, 31, and 42,
They were brought to the surface at Beatrix Mine Shaft 3. Two suspects claimed they were smuggled underground by mine employees, hidden inside a material car.
The third suspect alleged he was tried in a kangaroo court, found guilty, and beaten for refusing to cooperate.

The suspects face charges of trespassing, illegal mining, and contravening the Immigration Act at Theunissen Police Station.
