The Footballers Union of Zimbabwe ‘s President Desmond Maringwa and Secretary General Wonder Sithole met with ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi yesterday.
ZIFA took to their social media to confirm the meeting between highlighting that the discussion between two organizations was mainly focused on strengthening collaboration to drive the growth of football.
“Stronger Together, the Footballers Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ) paid a courtesy call on ZIFA, meeting with President Nqobile Magwizi and the newly elected board. Representing FUZ were President Desmond Maringwa and Secretary General Wonder Sithole.The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between the two organizations to drive the growth and development of football in Zimbabwe,”ZIFA stated.
Footballers Union of Zimbabwe and ZIFA also reaffirmed their commitment in working together with all stakeholders to create a thriving football ecosystem for the development of football in Zimbabwe.
FUZ plays a crucial role by bargaining for the improvement of working conditions for footballers and these conditions includes, wages and allowances of players, health and safety conditions which includes sick benefits and approved working playing fields.
