Highlanders Football Club has been summoned by the Premier Soccer league to appear before disciplinary PSL Ad hoc committee on allegations of breaching rules and regulations of Chibuku Super Cup on October 1st 2024 at PSL offices.
A press release from the PSL states that they have received official reports from Simba Bhora, Highlanders and the match officials following the abandonment of the Chibuku Super Cup quarter final match between the two played at Wadzanai Stadium on 22 September 2024.
Highlanders will appear before the PSL ad hoc committee on allegations of breaching, order 8.8 causing the abandonement of the Chibuku Super Cup match regulations.
The unfortunate abandoning of the match was triggered by a contentious penalty kick awarded to Simba Bhora with barely 10 minutes to go before the end of the match. Highlanders argued that the incident happened outside the box and available video replays show indeed it was outside the box resulting which triggered the Highlanders protest.
Bosso are not new to disciplinary issues as they have been sanctioned several times.
