Trump mania is here and truly ready to instil fear and cow nation states into submission.From freezing the activities of the USAID, massive deportations, ridiculing the LGBTIQIA Community and cutting support for them, Trump is unrelenting and doesn’t look like he will be stopping.
It’s been less than a month of his second presidency, but the world has already felt his impact. True to his promise, he has renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, he is threatening Canada to cow it towards being an American state, threatens cutting aid to South Africa over the land question and over the weekend, slapped Mexico, Canada and China with Trade Tariffs.
The irony about the Tariffs slapped on neighbours Mexico and Canada is not directly economic and about the American economy but Trump cites porous borders and indirectly aiding crime and drugs coming into the USA.
“I am signing all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% tariff on all products coming into the United States and its ridiculous borders.This tariff will remain in effect until such a time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl and illegal aliens stop the invasion of our country.Both Canada and Mexico have the absolute power to easily solve this long simmering problem, it’s time for them to pay a very big price,” said Trump.
On China, Trump said, “I have had many talks with China about the massive amounts of drugs in particular Fentanyl bring sent to the United States- nut to no avail. Representatives of China told MD that they would institute their maximum penalty, that of death for any drug dealers caught doing this, but unfortunately they never followed through, and drugs are pouring into our country, mostly through Mexico at levels never seen before. Until such a time they stop, we will be charging China an additional 10% tariff above any additional Tariffs on all of their products coming into the USA,” he adds.
In retaliation, Canada and Mexico have announced retaliatory tariffs of 25% on all American goods while China has promised to challenge the Trump administration’s decision at the World Trade Organisation.
Hurricane Trump has been ruffling almost everyone and the world is watching as to his next move as he has already promised tariffs on the EU, threatened tariffs on BRICS if they dump the Petro-dollar.For developing nations many will be holding their breadth for the outcome of the reevaluation process concerning American aid through USAID.
Trumps advisor and close ally Elon Musk has already called USAID, a corrupt entity whose time for closure has come.
