Jame West secured an effortless 4-0 victory over Matobo in a midweek fixture of the Central Region Soccer League Division One at Maglas Stadium.
The win against fellow debutants Matobo FC leaves Jame West just one point above the relegation zone with 17 points, level with Gokwe North and West Nicholson.
Jame West dominated the match, continuing to build momentum as the team fights to distance itself from the threat of relegation.
In another fixture, fellow newcomers Gwanda Pirates claimed a narrow 1-0 win against ZRP Gwanda in the Gwanda derby. The victory took Gwanda Pirates to 41 points, seven behind Hard Rock and 13 points adrift of Sheasham, who currently lead the Central Region Soccer League table.
Elsewhere, Dulivhadzimu United is set to face MSU FC at Dulivhadzimu Stadium over the weekend. Dulivhadzimu looks to redeem itself after losing three consecutive matches earlier in the season.
