A truck carrying highly explosive Liquid Petroleum Gas has had an accident 40 kilometres outside Beitbridge on the Bulawayo Road, ZIMBORDERS, who manage the Beitbridge Border Post have said.

In a statement Zimborders General Manager Nqobile Ncube said a process to transfer the gas was underway.

“Dear All, Please take note that there is an LPG Gas Tanker that has had an accident +/- 40 km from Beitbridge on the Bulawayo road. Driver has been taken to Hospital, there is going to be a supervised transfer of product to another Tanker before recovery takes place. All the necessary emergency services have been deployed to the scene,” said Ncube.
