A woman has been granted a protection order against her ex boyfriend after telling the court that he threatened and assaulted her.
The applicant is Gloria Dzinotyiwei and the respondent is Brighton Jonasi. The matter was heard before Provincial Magistrate Mbonisi Kaweni.
Dzinotyiwei told the court that Jonasi is her ex boyfriend who threatens her.
She said he is her ex boyfriend who threatens her and assaulted her the last time he came to her house. She said she fears him and wants him to stay away from her.
Jonasi did not oppose the application. He said he has no objections to what she is saying and has no problem staying away from her.
In his judgement Magistrate Kaweni ordered the respondent not to insult or assault the applicant for a period of five years.
