Zimbabwean international and national team vice captain Marshal Munetsi has made the great leap into the English Premier League after joining Wolverhampton Wanderers on deadline day, yesterday.
Munetsi joins from Ligue 1 side Stade De Reims where he has been a vital cog in the midfield of the French side.
Wolves completed the signing of Munetsi on a £16 million transfer, making him the most expensive Zimbabwean player of all time.
The EPL side took to their social media to confirm the signing of the Warriors midfielder Munetsi from the ligue 1.
“Another deadline day addition, welcome Marshal,” stated the club.
Since joining ligue 1 side in 2019, Munetsi has grown into a leader of the group, wearing the Reims armband as recently as last Saturday. His leadership attributes and versatility could be helpful in his English side who signed him as a replacement to midfielder Kevin Danso who moved to Tottenham.
Wolves are currently battling for survival in the top flight and the club will be hoping the Zimbabwe will help in steadying the ship and navigate it towards safer waters.
The French side Reims also took their social media to appreciate and wish Munetsi the best in his adventure. Munetsi has been a key midfielder for Reims boasting of 159 appearances for the club.

Before joining Reims ,Munetsi spent his early part of his career in South Africa ,playing for Ubuntu Cape Verde ,Baroka FC and Orlando Pirates.
