In our May 6 2026, we erroneously wrote that Tinashe Nkomo and Admire Charumbira had been convicted of armed robbery and jailed.
The fact of the matter is that Admire Charumbira was acquitted after he was represented by lawyer Muchihwande Forbes Sithole. He is not in jail and a free man.
It was Future Moyo convicted together with Nkomo (also known as Sadamu/Jack) while Charumbira, Decent Moyo, Obey Chiware, Wiseman Muleya, Tendai Mapira, Khumbulani Mabhena, and Ntanganedzeni Muleya walked.
This error is regretted without reservation.
Any inconvenience to Charumbira is regretted and the confusion may have resulted from a mixture of names during the long trial.
