National Democratic Working Group Matabeleland South Provincial Chaiperson Bhekimpilo Mbedzi has been released from remand prison.
Mbedzi said he was waiting to carefully study his bail conditions before making an official press statement.
‘I am waiting to study my bail conditions,” he said.
He however decried what he said was a crowded remand orison where a cell meant for four people held up to 13.
“We were crowded. The cell is for four but we were 13,” he said.
He thanked his NDWG’s gesture of solidarity, support and unity exhibited duing his incarceration.
“That support is encouraging for one to continue to do people and God’s work for freedom. I want to thank our leader Job Sikhala and his true leadership qualities.”
Mbedzi arrived home to a warm reception by his child Mpho who could not hide the joy of seeing her dad.
“I also want to thank the Human Rights Lawyers including (Patrick) Tererai or securing my freedom,” he said.
