In a chilling murder that has left the village of Nqakala in Mbembesi in fear, a 55 year old man was found killed, with his head missing.
In a statement, Police confirmed the murder of Sipho Mbulani who was found lying with his had decapitated at the back of his bedroom by a passer-by who resides in the same village.
The grisly murder according to police shows that Mbulani is likely to have been murdered somewhere else and brought to his home by the assailants indicating the killers might be acquainted to the old man.
“Surprisingly there were no blood stains whilst the head of the deceased is missing. That is a clear pointer which shows that the deceased could have been killed somewhere else and not at the scene of crime. Another point of consideration is that the arrangement of the property in the deceased’s bedroom hut was not disturbed. There was no disorder which clearly shows that there was no struggle in that house hence the reason of suspicion that deceased was killed elsewhere and brought to his place of residence, indicated a statement from the police.
The man was found his body lying face upwards and the police’s preliminary investigations showed that the deceased’s bedroom hut was found open, the deceased’s boy sky was found open as well, a navy blue track suit bottom was left approximately 2 metres away from the deceased’s bedroom hut door on the outside wall of the bedroom hut spoiled with fieces, 2 empty 200 millilitre containers of Happy cheers spirits which were approximately 2 metres away from the deceased’s bedroom hut door.
Police efforts to locate perpetrators of this heinous crime are underway and the body of the deceased is expected to be taken to UBH mortuary for a post mortem.
