Beitbridge West Member of Parliament Thusani Ndou donated a Starlink unit and a set of boys’ football jerseys to Malala Secondary School on Monday, 25 June 2026.

Speaking at the event, MP Ndou said the Starlink donation is meant to improve connectivity and help learners with research.
He said that the football kit would support the boys’ team.

This donation comes just six months after MP Ndou assisted Malala Secondary with a solarised borehole to improve access to water at the school. The borehole has helped teachers and learners grow vegetables in the school garden and support other key activities.

After receiving the donations, Malala Secondary School headmaster Panganai Dube expressed gratitude.

“We appreciate the efforts made by Honourable MP Ndou. He has been helping us grow as a school. This kit will help our boys, and most importantly, the Starlink will enhance our education and improve research,” said Dube.

One of the parents, Julitha Mutingwende, also highlighted that these donations have been crucial to the growth of the school.

“MP Ndou has played a crucial role in the development of this school. It started with a borehole, now Starlink and a football kit. These will help our school significantly,” Mutingwende said.

While at the school, MP Ndou toured the science laboratory currently under construction. He commended the work being done at Malala Secondary and praised the efforts of the community.

All these interventions by Beitbridge West MP Ndou are set to benefit Malala Secondary School, which has an enrollment of 360 students, 169 boys and 191 girls.
