THE search for Beitbridge’s next music sensation has officially begun, with Donzvo Entertainment Private Limited opening registrations for the 2026 edition of the Beitbridge Superstar Talent Show.
Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Donzvo Entertainment CEO Shimron Sibanda, popularly known as DJ Shimza, said preparations are underway and the organizers are currently in the registration phase.
“We’re currently in the registration phase for the Beitbridge Superstar Talent Show, organized by Donzvo Entertainment Private Limited. We’re looking for a maximum of 15 musicians to contest on the day,” said DJ Shimza.
Unlike traditional competitions that focus on one style of music, the Beitbridge Superstar Talent Show will feature a clash of artists from different genres, providing a platform for performers from across the musical spectrum to showcase their talent.
Winners will walk away with cash prizes and the bragging rights of being crowned Beitbridge’s next superstar.
The competition, which has become one of the district’s growing platforms for discovering local talent, will once again run under the theme “Say No To Drugs”.
According to DJ Shimza, the event aims not only to promote music and entertainment but also to address the growing concern of drug abuse among artists and young people.
“After hosting last year’s show in Lutumba, we’re bringing it to Beitbridge town for 2026. We have noticed that it has now become a trend in the music industry that local artists abuse drugs, and a lot of youth who look up to them end up following the same tracks as them. As Beitbridge artists, we are trying by all means to fight this trend. We will continue the fight through music and art,” he said.
Last year’s edition, held in Lutumba, attracted emerging talent from across the district, and organizers are expecting another thrilling showdown as they seek to crown the next Beitbridge Superstar.
The official date for the event will be announced once registrations close and the final list of 15 contestants has been confirmed.
